Well, it seems that everyone now knows who the prayer warrior is so I thought I better change some of the information on the website.
I am an Immunization Consultant with the State Health Department, a job I have loved for the past 25 years.  I am a member of the American Red Cross---serving as the Tangipahoa Parish Disaster Services Coordinator.  Also work with the DAT team as a volunteer for national disasters.
My hospital ministry is something I enjoy more and more every day.  I get to talk to people when they are troubled about their condition.  It is really a very rewarding experience to visit those who need to know PEACE.
I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Hammond.  Past Chairman of the IDD committee.  The Iodine Deficiency Disorder committee.  Many people don't know that an iodine deficiency known as IDD causes 90% of all the known cases of mental retardation in newborn infants.  With the World Service Project---Kiwanis Clubs from around the world raised $78 million to build at least one iolization plant in EVERY COUNTRY of the world.  Over 6 million children have been impacted by this worthwhile effort.
I am a member of the Toastmaster's Club of Slidell, LA.  I love talking.  (Something most of you may NOW be aware of.)  I hope to hear from all of you on the internet sometime.
I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a SPEECH MAJOR and history minor.  I was glad to see Ms. Richardson and Mr. Crowder at the picnic and reunion.  I think we should all tell our inspirations they made a difference.

Katrina!  Need I say more?  We are coping daily in South Louisiana and I suppose I am suffering from survivors guilt because I lost 1 shingle.  Who says God doesn't answer prayer?  I am working with the Office of Public Health feverishly to bring all of the physicians in a 5 parish area into our new LINKS system.  When Katrina came ashore Slidell, LA health unit lost 375,000 immunization records.  I cannot begin to tell you the devastation in the local school systems as students from New Orleans, St. Bernard and Calcasieu came into the Baton Rouge, Livingston, St. Tammany Schools.  I hope to be more involved with the committee this time around.

May God Bless all those who serve our great country and to those who serve the public every day.  And may God Bless you and yours and you move toward the mark.

Went to Northwestern for a while, quit and came back to Shreveport and worked for a while, then went into the Air Force Reserves as an air evacuation medic.  I married in June 1969 to Paula Hutchins.  I went to work for the Shreveport Fire Department in 1971 and had a life changing experience - I got saved.  I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ.  Also in 1971 we brought our daughter, Angela Dee, into the world and then in 1973 we had a son, Christopher Patrick.
In 1982 and 1983 I went through some of the toughest times of my life - a divorce.  I got both of my children.  Then in 1984 I married Nancy Tonsman.  She had two children, daughter, Casie and son, Vaughn.  Together we raised the four children and they are ours.  All four are now married.  Angela and husband, Patrick Wilson, have three children, Matthew - 7, Grace - 4, and Christopher - 18 months.  They live in Baton Rouge and are members of Park View Baptist Church.  Chris and Heather are in Shreveport and are members of Summer Grove Baptist.  Vaughn and Jennifer and their 6 month old daughter, McKinley, are also members of Summer Grove Baptist Church.  Casie and Cass Jefcoat are in Ruston and attend First Baptist there.
I retired from the Shreveport Fire Department in 1998 and I am presently working on my certification as a residential real estate appraiser. Nancy and I are active members of Summer Grove Baptist.  I enjoy hunting, fishing and most of all helping with the grandchildren.  Both sons work for the Shreveport Fire Department.  Angela is a first grade teacher and Casie is in graduate school at Louisiana Tech for Speech Pathology.
Hope to see you at the reunion.

To make a long story short: (yeah, right) After Woodlawn, attended La Tech with some of my best friends from high school. After Tech, worked for my dad at Brown Electric, then went to work for Texas Eastern Transmission and eventually spent 13 years in Houston.
After TETCO laid me off, I packed up and moved back to Shreveport where I went into partnership with my little brother and formed United Electric Motor Service which is where I am now. In the meantime I met and married my wife, Marijo, and had a son, Taylor,
almost 11 now. We live in Dogwood Park with 2 dogs and 2 cats. Life is good.

Hi Woodlawner alumni. 34 years since graduation?!? That canít be right can it? I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Jim Steward. Before I say anything I should say THANK YOU to those of you on the committee for putting forth all this effort,Ö..for us. I personally appreciate it and feel a sense of pride and indebtedness to you. Thanks for the memories. Where do I begin? Much water has flowed under this bridge. Well, after 4 years in the military and the last year of it being Viet Nam, I was honorably discharged and sent home to Shreveport. I attended LSU for 4 years while working at GE in management. Then GM hired me as an engineer, a job I held for 8 years or so. Then I was promoted to GM Fort Wayne assembly. I am currently with GM headquarters Detroit as the Regional Service Program Manager of all GM Truck programs in the field of Advanced serviceability engineering. Between Ft. Wayne and Detroit I was with GM in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois. Oh yeah, had a special assignment in Beijing, China during that time to develop a business case and plan for the establishment of GM service centers across China. The first one was built, is operational, and a model for many more to be built. Was an interesting assignment. Somewhere in the middle of all that I went back to college and completed a Master of Sc! ience degree in Industrial management and Organization development at Indiana Wesleyan University. Enough about work, on to the most important things in my life, my family. My daughter, Kim, is now 25 years old, married and living in Dayton, Ohio. She is pursuiing an early childhood development education. She loves children and loves to teach. Kimís husband, Joe is a technician in a local Saturn dealership and is pursuiing an automotive technology degree at Sinclair college. Joe is a fine son-in-law. My son, Chad, is now 29 years old, married and lives in Middletown, Ohio. He is a supervisor with GM in the Moraine, Ohio assembly plant. Chadís wife Jill is a nurse and a very smart one at that. Chad and Jill have two children, Blake (almost 4) and Mallie (almost 1). For those of you that are grandparents, I donít have to tell you. These little oneís will give you more love and enjoyment than you can imagine. I enjoyed raising my children and love them dearly but thereís something different in Godís blessing here. My number one mainstay in all this is my wife, Mary Ann. We have been married nearly 34 years. We have been through the highs and lows of life with more highs than lows. God has blessed us well.

Hi everyone.  Haven't made it to any of the reunions so far, but will try to make this one.  After graduation, I went on to NSU and graduated with a B.S. in Business.  Then served one term in the Air Force working in Treasury Services.  I then moved to Houston, Texas where I lived for the next 23 years.  My career has been in healthcare and I was the Controller for Financial Operations for Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston before relocating to Washington, DC.  I served as the Senior Operating Officer for Hospital Finance at Georgetown University Hospital.  I just moved about 15 months ago to Portland, Oregon and am now working for Oregon Health & Science University.  It would be great to see you later this year.

I'm not going to be able to come to the reunion, but I just wanted to share a little about my life with everyone.  I graduated from Northeast La. University in 1971 and then I lived in Shreveport for 5 years.  I moved to Houston in 1975 where I met my husband, Steve.  In 1987, we moved to Marietta, GA (a suburb of Atlanta) where we have lived for 15 years.  It's a great place!!

Steve and I have two wonderful children...Joe (21) is a Senior at the University of Georgia and Jenny (19)is a Sophomore also at the University of Georgia.

After moving to Georgia, I was Mom for 6 years, but for the past 8 years, I have been the Bookkeeper at Mt. Bethel Elementary School (the school where my children went).

My entire family (my brother and my Dad) now live in Marietta, so I do not get to Shreveport very often.  I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the reunion, but would love to hear from some of you.

.....I have become, first and foremost, though with the likelyhood of a clear and present danger for the disruption of that 'rep', the dreaded 'vietnam veteran' <>  a very peculiar aspect of becoming one, I have been apprised over the course of 35+ years, is that you do not have to have accomplished ANY of those wonderful little achievements the media, the movies and equally as wonderful presidential aspirant Kelly swears we, Viet Vets generally, fall into the parameters for; I, too, attended OCS, because LT Kerry could not have done much more toward his commission than be born blue-blooded, not with the nationally publisized narration of his personal activity in Southeast Asia, My Ranger instruction would have gone to self-destruct at the mere mention of his kind of tactic....any rate we vote today so I thought to get that in, and I led a platoon in Vietnam and experienced three areas of operation with the First Cav Division where war of that calliber is attrocious in and of its own accord and to take the r
e the 30th...I suppose something current for the aspiratons exhibited the successes in my life to date fostered by my excellent and rarely profferred education my last year of high school at Woodlawn<>   those are very succinctly a prevailing status in the previously mentioned judicial review, I am 100% rated and that is justifiable, and two, 60 individual works of my literary body of that genre have been published in the form of lyrics formatted for backdrop in the music of Allison Moorer, and Barbara Way...very talented, very commited performance artists and their work and mine are avaiable for view on the 'web'as well as in record stores// that is what I attribute most to my sojourn in Louisiana more thatn perhaps any other quality for perception, that wonderfully variant and accepting overview about the world and people around us that is inherent the Louisiana landscape <>  Ron Belin and happy holidays

I haven't made a reunion since '87, really looking forward to this one.  My life has really changed since 2004 after 34 years of marriage, I found myself single.  With my 2 children grown (twins) and having their own lives it was quite a shock.

But with God's Grace and Love, family and friends.  I lived thorough it all.
I have a son, Scott (34) who is in the Navy stationed in Springfield MO. He is in medical part at the reserve center there.  He is married. He and his wife Michelle have 3 children Phillip (11), Sarah (6) and Mary (3).
My daughter Stacey (34) is married. She and her husband Chris live here in Shreveport. Stacey works for the state she is the Director of Special Programs at the Office of Mental Health.  Her husband Chris works at FryMaster he is an IT anyalsis.

I stay busy with church activities, and my volunteer work with the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation thorough LSUHSC.  I belong to the Women of the Moose.  Also am a member of the Red River Street Rods, even though I don't own one. And thanks to a friend just joined a pool league and started shooting pool, which should be interesting as I have never really shot pool before.

I am working at LSUHSC as an accounting Tech and am looking forward to retirement, hopfully in the next 3 years.  Then I plan on traveling and spending more time with my grandkids.

Would love to hear from other fellow Knights.
